Edlins of Canberra Medal Mounting Service
Edlins offer an in house medal mounting service and there are two styles of mounting available. The prices listed below are for mounting only and include the ribbon and brooch bar. If you are wanting to purchase replica medals etc please follow the link at the bottom of this page.
Turn Around Times The current turn around time for medals is approximately 3-4 weeks from the date we receive them. The turn around time for ribbon bars is approximately 2 weeks.
Court Mounting The ribbon is attached to a board and a brooch mount is attached to the back, the medals are hung from the ribbon and secured to the board using a clear nylon thread.
Swing Mounting The medals are hung from a brooch mount suspended by their ribbon.
Prices
Court Mounting Full Size medals, 1 to 5 medals includes new ribbon and brooch bar @$25 per medal.
Court Mounting Full Size medals, 6 or more medals (medals must be overlapped) includes new ribbon and brooch bar @$30 per medal.
Court Mounting Miniature Size medals includes new ribbon and brooch bar @$15 per medal.
Sew on Clasps and Bars Full Size and Miniature Size long service clasps and bars are an extra $2.50 each, there is no additional charge for slip on clasps and bars.
NB These prices are basic quotes for standard issue Australian medals, Foreign awards and awards such as Order of Australia must be quoted on as the cost of ribbon is generally higher.

Medal Ribbon Bars There are two styles of Ribbon bars available The most popular being the Clutch grip (butterfly clips at back) or the Brooch Pin type (Long needle like pin at back). We can supply the ribbon bars only so you can assemble them yourself or we can make the ribbon bar up for you (usually within 1 week). Prices quoted below are for ribbon bars made up by us using our ribbon stock.

If a second row is required for example a 4x bar with a 3x bar above the total cost excluding any long service rosettes or other additions would be $35
If the two bars are to be joined together there is an additional charge of $6.
A gap of 3 mm between rows is the usual requirement, if you require different spacing please let us know when ordering.
Please Note: The turn around time for ribbon bars if all ribbons are in stock is within 1 week.
